The UEFA Women’s Champions League is well under way and is starting to look like a tough competition with the semi-finals taking place this weekend. Chelsea faced Barcelona on Saturday, with Barcelona coming out on top 1-0. Arsenal also faced Wolfsburg Sunday with the score leveled out at 2-2 by full time.

With all of this going on UEFA have released their own collection of tees celebrating the work of previous UWCL players deemed ‘The Greatest Moment Tee Collection’ paired with the #QueensofFootball. The creative genius behind them comes in the form of @xaviermula, a graphic designer from Igualada, Barcelona who has his own design studio and some stunning previous work. With 4 tees in the collection there’s plenty of space to hero some great players as well as their iconic plays in the tournament.

Conny Pohlers

The first tee celebrates the skill of ex-Wolfsburg and German national player Conny Pohlers. During her career alongside Wolfsburg, Conny has gone on to win the UWCL not once but twice during the 2013 and 2014 tournaments. She has even been named 3rd top goal scorer of all time within the tournament making her a legend within the game. However, the specific moment that will stand out to fans and led to the conception of this design was her infamous goal against Arsenal in 2013 earning her team a spot in the Champions League final for the first time.

“I just wanted to make that goal” - Conny

Next up is Sonia Bermúdes, a Spanish international and ex-Barcelona Feminí player. With club Barcelona, she has won the primera division 4 times (as well as 3 other times with club Rayo Vallecano!) making her an absolute stand out player. Xavier explains that the tee created celebrates her integral role in bringing Barcelona to the quarter finals in 2013, the first time a Spanish club had reached this stage making it a monumental moment nationally.

“It was a unique and historical moment and the whole team was conscious of that” - Sonia

Lotta Schelin

Swedish legend and ex-Lyon star Lotta Schelin has had an amazing career within the sport. After being advised not to play the sport as a child due to medical problems, Lotta persevered due to her love of it and in 2014, she was named Sweden’s top goal scorer of all time after her 73rd goal for the international squad! Her career with Lyon is what made her stand out for this collection, specifically her help in landing the squad their first UWCL title in 2011. Contributing a huge 9 goals throughout the tournament, Lotta has deemed their win “the proudest moment of her career”.

Julie Fleeting

Another player with a corker of a career and last of the collection is Scottish player Julie Fleeting. Spending 9 years with Arsenal, Julie has had an interesting career. Due to her living and working in Scotland, she would miss out on training but still participate within their games. Despite this, in Julie’s time at Arsenal, she has helped them to secure 20 tournament titles as well as multiple second place finishes. The moment that is honored in the collection however, is that of her winning assist to Alex Scott in the UWCL 2007 final that won Arsenal the title, a truly magical moment for all gunners out there.

“It was just a moment I’ll never forget” - Julie
